Handprint Art Heart and Bible verse!

This is the perfect Valentine to share God’s love with a friend! I also think it would be a cute Valentine from a daddy’s girl saying “Daddy, you’ve got my heart in the palm of your hand!”

How to:

1 Paint your toddler’s hand pink with a heart in red in their palm and press onto paper

2 After it has dried, use a red sharpie to outline the heart (ours didn’t come out crisp so the sharpie really helped define what it was!)

My favorite supplies for Handprint Art:

I love this washable paint for handprint art and for toddler painting in general. It cleans up SOOOO easily (even off the walls…don’t ask me how I know!)

These are my favorite paintbrushes for handprint art and toddler painting. The different sizes and shapes tend to fit all that we need! The dollar tree has also had some good chunky paint brushes in the past that are perfect for toddlers!

We use these art smocks. I LOVE them. They keep their clothes covered and clean and they’re super easy to clean as well!  I’ve seen similar ones on Amazon as well if you need quick shipping! This one is a similar style and fairly cheap!

Tips for How to Handprint Art:

1 Have wipes ready before you start! They’re perfect for wiping hands, spills, and the paintbrush in between colors!

2 Young Toddler? Put them in their highchair while you work!

3 Ask your toddler to spread their fingers before you press to the paper.

4 Hold your toddler’s hand on the sides similar to how you would hold a stamp. Lift their hand straight up after you’ve pressed!
